Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Kompatei Hashizumean that was only 10 minutes' walk away. We had a river view from our room. The entire staff was HELPFUL. Will come back.

Spent my new year at a traditional ryokan with hot springs. Loved the experience of soaking in the outdoor bath amidst nature's beauty, and also the hospitality of the staff. The free shuttle service and the availability of English-speaking staff added ease and comfort to our stay. , the location near the charming town made it easy to explore more of the area.
Although the overall experience was fantastic, the room's cleanliness was not up to the mark. The walls had stains and the furniture was chipped and peeling.

We had a very peaceful stay, with the sound of the river next to the hotel. Our room overlooked the river, making it a truly special and relaxing experience. the onsen facilities were excellent, particularly the outdoor one. Staff was hospitable and courteous, and the food was sumptuous.
The location was a bit out of the way, making it a bit of a hassle for exploring the nearby town.

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay! the staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They even had a shuttle service available to take us to the nearby train station. the attention to detail was amazing, from the welcome snack and plum tea to the perfectly sized yukata waiting for us in the room. the onsen facilities were great and we loved that our room had a gorgeous view of the river.
The location wasn't perfect. the hotel was a bit far from the city center, which made it difficult to get around.
